Hoje vim com vontade de fazer um post minimamente aceitavel e para tal resolvi falar sobre uma banda que eu ouço vezes sem conta, visto que as letras deles teem tudo a ver comigo.....
Os "A Perfect Circle" são uma banda que conta com grandes nomes conhecidos (plo menos por mim... lol) como o James Iha (ex-guitarrista dos Smashing Pumpkins) ou o Maynard James Keenan (vocalista dos Tool). São uma banda com um cariz muito "dark" mas ao mesmo tempo muito melódico, o que tras à sonoridade deles uma sensação de revolta, mas também de paz.... simplesmente indescrítivel.... São uma banda polémica e muitas vezes censurada (plo menos na terra do "tio Sam"...) visto que são conhecidos activistas anti-Bush e não se prendem a mostrar isso nos seus videoclips.... "Mer de Noms"
Este foi o 1º album de "A Perfect Circle". Foi a sua apresentação ao público. Público esse que a princípio os encarava como sendo apenas um projecto paralelo com os "Tool". Mas com o passar do tempo e da afirmação da banda, esta passou rapidamente a ser vista não só como um projecto a parte, mas como uma banda de direito e vida própria. Neste album denota-se uma apresentação rock e de rock alternativo.... Aqui ficam 2 videos deste album... enjoy....

Este segundo album é muito mais intenso, mais dramático, não deixando de estar ligado a "Mer de Noms", completando-o até... A destacar deste album a emotividade com que as letras são entoadas, bem como a componente instrumental muito mais cuidada.... Mais dois videos deste album....

Utilizando versões de musicas antigas e revolucionárias como são os casos de "Imagine" original de John Lennon, ou de "What's goin' on" de Marvin Gaye, os A Perfect Circle chegaram ao ponto de ver os seus videos proíbidos nos EUA por serem considerados "anti-americanos".... e mais uns vídeos.... ;)
